Demo / Used

We often have used and demo equipment that is just as good as "new", but can save you some cash.

DEMO means that the product has been used as display, demonstrator or reviewer use. These products will carry the same warranty and customer service, where applicable, as other factory fresh products. Some products may carry a one or two year warranty. Demos are current or legacy product, but they are always updated to the latest circuitry.

USED means that the product has been previously owned. These products will sell "AS IS" cosmetically, but you may elect to add the latest updates when available at their normal costs. Warranty is 90 days parts and labor.

BLEMISHED (B stock) means absolutely new, but with minor cosmetic defects unless otherwise described. Same as new warranty!

CONSIGNMENT means used and being sold for a 'client' - guaranteed to work upon receipt at your end - typically no warranty,  "as is" purchase.

SPECIAL means we have acquired and built these units and they enjoy a full one year parts and labor warranty. They are new or have been used as a loaner.

NEW ITEMS>>> We have purchased three stock Hafler DH-500 amps to offer in modified form. Two of them are the original brown? color and one has the later black/red lettering look. They were all factory built and appear to have very little use judging by the cleanliness of the interiors. If you are looking for a way above average DH-500 you can custom order the mods you want. Here is a rather clean DH-220. We purchased it with the intent of offering it in modified form. We have added our superb PA-3E boards and LC-200 power supply caps. It includes Teflon insulated gold-plated RCA jacks as you can see. We have also added gold-plated 30 amp binding posts. It will sell for $799. This is less than you might pay to have us modify a DH-220 to this standard after you bought it on eBay. Not only that but you only pay shipping one way. ---------------Sold, sorry!-----------------------  Hmmm, this could be back soon since the owner is considering trading it on a more expensive option.

NEW!!!!!  HAFLER DH-220 with PA-3E SIGNATURE ........... and more. Top model Vampire Wire Oxygen-free copper, gold-plated RCA jacks are used for input.  Cardas Copper binding posts handle the speaker connections. The power switch has been upgraded to handle the current surge of the power supply. An IEC socket allows use of any aftermarket power cord. It comes with a heavy-gauge power cord. The modifications alone would sell for nearly $1600 and with the Hafler amp we are asking $1399 including a one year parts and labor warranty.

NEW ITEM>>>

Beautiful sounding Hafler DH-500, highly modified with our PA-3B Signature series boards but updated to mostly "E" status, twin toroid power transformers, dual-mono is completed with soft-recovery diodes and four of our LC-500 capacitors. Let's get something out of the way right now! The scratches on the front are not as visible in real life as they are in the picture. Cameras seem to do that! In fact a few minutes with a marker pen would make them much less visible. I have attempted to tone them down a bit with some PhotoShop but I have still left them looking more prominent than reality. I thought you should know that. 
As you see it has the Cardas copper binding posts, gold/Teflon RCA jacks and an IEC socket on the rear panel. It has a newer hi-current power switch on the front. It has the bonus of 100uF BlackGate FK front-end power supply caps installed on the PA-3X boards.  Those babies are worth their weight in gold. If we were offering this as a new piece the price would be nearly $2500. We are asking only $1495 for this powerhouse! If you want it converted to a Signature or all the way to a Platinum version we can do that too. BTW, you've already noticed the switchable bridge kit. We could remove that to clean up the input wiring. We can also remove the speaker relay circuit and speaker fuses for a cleaner output signal path though you would be living slightly more dangerously. 

USED PRODUCTS

Dyna PAS-3X tubed preamp with modifications............ including significant revisions featuring a constant-current grounded-cathode 12AU7 line stage and passive RIAA EQ in the 12AX7 equipped phono stage. High quality tubes are included. This is a very different preamp compared to the original unit. The high current line stage has a very low output impedance, wide dynamic range and solid, clear sound. There is an upgraded volume pot for superior smoothness and clarity. A new power transformer supplies the higher required current and the vastly enlarged power supply yields a robust, clean sound quality. Good condition. AUDIO ALCHEMY DDE v1.0 DAC with 1st level Musical Concepts mods. Really it's a very good sounding DAC. I have seen some audiophiles adapt these to car stereo use. This will be supplied with the larger Power Station power supply. See here.

FULTON GOLD SPEAKER CABLES..........have a huge gauge paired wire construction. These classic cables are heavy and stiff. They look like 4 ga.
